The losses of the Los Angeles Lakers this season continue to pile up as quickly as their medical bills. The team absorbed its eighth defeat in as many wins on Wednesday night after bowing to the Milwaukee Bucks on the road, 109-102.

While the Lakers had another strong showing from the returning Talen Horton-Tucker, they are still not the same team without LeBron James, who's nursing an abdominal injury. Offseason additions Trevor Ariza and Kendrick Nunn have yet to suit up due to injuries as well.

With a depleted roster, the Lakers have stumbled to a lowly record. But star big man Anthony Davis, who's had a topsy-turvy campaign himself, remained pragmatic about their situation (via ESPN).

“It's a part of the game. Same thing with the team we just played. They've been hit with injuries as well. It kind of goes with the league, the business of the game. You go out there and put your body on the line every night, God forbid, something is going to happen in the course of a season. Someone's going to get hurt. We've got to adjust and continue to fight until we get everybody back.”

Davis finished with 18 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and two blocks against the Bucks, while THT top-scored for the Lakers with 25 points on top of 12 boards and three dimes.

Horton-Tucker's return has definitely given the Purple & Gold additional firepower. But as AD stressed, they still need to soldier on moving forward until they finally get a healthy crew.
