Former NBA big man Kendrick Perkins believes Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett is the only player you can really compare to Los Angeles Lakers superstar power forward Anthony Davis.

During an interview with Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson of Heavy, Perkins spoke about how the Lakers star sort of reminds him of Garnett.

“He’s a guy that we’ve never seen before,” Kendrick Perkins told Brandon Robinson about Anthony Davis.

“He’s one of one. He’s a generational talent. In my opinion, the closest guy that I’ve seen to Anthony Davis was Kevin Garnett when you look at the whole body of work that they both can do; their handles, their passing ability, their shot blocking, the way they defend they can switch from 1 through 5, they rebound at a high level.

“It’s no limitations on their game really. Offensively they both can shoot the 3. They both had post moves. KG had post moves. AD has post moves. KG could push the rock. AD could push the rock. But, AD is one of one man. He’s a generational talent.”

Before the 2019-20 season was suspended in March, Davis was playing at an MVP level for the Lakers. The Chicago native, who began his NBA career with the New Orleans Pelicans, was averaging 26.7 points, 9.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 2.4 blocks per game as LeBron James' partner in crime.

Along with his stellar stat line, Davis was also shooting 51.1 percent from the field, 33.5 percent from beyond the arc, and 84.5 percent from the free-throw line for the Lakers, who racked up 49 wins prior to Rudy Gobert's positive COVID-19 test.

Once the “bubble” games begin in Orlando, Florida, the Lakers will be one of the favorites to win the title. After all, no one wants to face LeBron and Davis in a seven-game series.
