The Los Angeles Lakers cruised to their fourth straight win on Sunday, beating the Minnesota Timberwolves 142-125 to improve to 21-3 for the season.

Anthony Davis had yet another dominant performance, scoring a season-high 50 points to lead the Lakers. AD only needed 23 games to accomplish such a feat in LA, joining teammate LeBron James and NBA legend Cedric Ceballos as the fastest Purple and Gold players to notch their first 50-point game for the franchise.

Davis also had seven boards, six assists and four steals in the game. He also shot the ball really well, hitting 20 of his 29 attempts.

AD has now won his battles against some of the best bigs in the league. This past week, he dominated Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets, Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz, and now, Karl Anthony-Towns of the Timberwolves. He is having an MVP-type of season, and if he continues to play this well, the Lakers will remain unstoppable.

What has been more impressive about Davis this season is his ability to stay on the court. He has already had minor injuries in his shoulder and elbow, but he has played through them.

The Lakers don't look too concerned about AD despite the fact that he has been plagued with health issues for a significant portion of his career.

LA will now begin their five-game East Coast road trip, which will begin on Wednesday against the Orlando Magic. They will also face the Miami Heat, Indiana Pacers and Atlanta Hawks before closing things out with the much-anticipated showdown with the Milwaukee Bucks next week.
