Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis has an MCL sprain in his left knee and will miss at least four weeks. Davis got injured on Friday night as the Lakers lost 110-92 to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

On the season, Davis is averaging 23.3 points per game and 9.9 rebounds. Although he still hasn't been playing as well as many expect him to, he's still putting up more than serviceable numbers and has been a big reason for why the Lakers have found any of the little success that they have found so far this season.

The Lakers have a lengthy injury report, which is a big reason for the teams' 16-14 start to the season. They have had some disappointing losses this year and certainly don't look like the team that everybody expected them to be.

At this point, the Lakers' biggest concern is getting everybody healthy for the playoffs. They obviously need to play well enough to get to the playoffs, but once they do, a team with LeBron James, Davis, and Russell Westbrook will certainly be a major problem for teams in the Western Conference. Regardless of how bad they are playing at the moment, they're still going to be a very tough team to beat come playoff time due to their stars.

If the Lakers can find some success without Davis on the court, they might decide to hold back on him coming back and allow him extra time to recover.
