The Los Angeles Lakers fell to the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday night, 105-87. LA just had no answer for Joel Embiid, who had another noteworthy performance for the Sixers as the 27-year-old strengthened his bid for this season's MVP trophy.

After the game, Lakers veteran Carmelo Anthony had nothing but high praise for Embiid. Having witnessed the development of the Sixers big man through the years, Melo dropped a truth bomb on the biggest factor that has changed for Embiid (h/t Michael Corvo of ClutchPoints):

As Melo described in his statement, Embiid's overall attitude towards the game has changed significantly through the years. He's still the fun-loving guy who trolls opponents on occasion, but what cannot be denied is that he's taken on a more serious temperament of late. This has worked wonders for Joel Embiid, who has once again established himself as one of the favorites to win this year's Most Valuable Player award.

Anthony's player comparison on Embiid is also worth noting. According to the Lakers star, he sees some of the great Hakeen Olajuwon in Embiid. The Houston Rockets icon is one of the greatest big men this game has ever seen and for Embiid to be mentioned in the same breath as The Dream — coming from a future Hall of Famer, no less — should be an absolute honor for JoJo.
