The Los Angeles Lakers got back to their winning ways in convincing fashion on Sunday as they blew out the visiting Atlanta Hawks, 132-113. Led by Brandon Ingram, Jordan Clarkson, and Julius Randle, the Purple and Gold ended their nine-game losing streak with the huge win. However, there was another streak that still continued on the night – Corey Brewer's.

Checking in to the game with only 2:53 left, Brewer was able to keep his Iron Man streak going. He has now appeared in 316 consecutive NBA games. When Luke Walton called his name, he apparently smiled and avoided eye contact, according to Reddit user maestroenglish.

“Up by 21, Walton put Brewer in to keep the league's current longest Ironman streak alive (316).”

“He kinda sheepishly smiled and seemed to try to avoid eye-contact.”

“Veteran.”

Corey Brewer took over the longest active streak back in April when Cleveland Cavaliers center Tristan Thompson was forced to sit out, due to a sprained thumb, after playing in 447 straight games. Although Brewer only plays a limited role for the Lakers, he still receives 12.4 minutes from Walton, producing 3.6 points and 1.4 rebounds per game this season.

With all the injuries that players these days suffer, it makes Brewer's streak even more impressive. It's also a testament to how he takes care of his body by putting a premium on his conditioning. He may be 31 years old now, but he still has a long way to go if he wants to even threaten the record of A.C. Green which stands at 1,192 games.
