Los Angeles Lakers veteran swingman Danny Green has emerged as a scapegoat for many Lakers fans following their team's disappointing loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday. After going down 1-0 in the series against an underdog Blazers side, the Lakers faithful had to find someone to blame for their team's subpar showing in Game 1, and unfortunately for Green, he was a main target.

There were more than a few upset Lakers supporters after the game, and they decided to go directly to Green's Instagram account to let their feelings known:

These fans basically hijacked the comments section of Green's IG, and they were pretty ruthless with their criticism.

Green had a disappointing outing on Tuesday, going 4-of-12 from the field and 2-of-8 from distance for 10 points, two rebounds, and a steal in 24 minutes of action. To be fair, the 33-year-old was in foul trouble for a good part of the game, and this played a role in his inability to get things going against Portland.

Then again, as some of the raging fans pointed out, Green's role for the team is to spread the floor by making his shots from downtown — something he has failed to do throughout the entire NBA restart (25.0% 3-point shooting in the bubble). Green also missed a couple of open looks down the stretch that would have swayed the momentum in the Lakers' favor.

Even hip-hop legend and longtime Lakers fan Snoop Dogg could not help but get on the Green hate train:

The only positive Green can take away from this is that the game is already over. He has a chance to quickly redeem himself on Thursday, when the Lakers take on the Blazers again in Game 2 of this best-of-seven series. Los Angeles really needs Green to get out of his funk and provide the superstars some help.
