Los Angeles Lakers forward Danny Green dished out a few of his secrets in an interview with Bleacher Report's Taylor Rooks, including how to stop Kawhi Leonard.

Green, who had played with Leonard for the past eight seasons, also followed him through his trade to the Toronto Raptors in a bundled deal for DeMar DeRozan and Jakob Poeltl.

“As with all great players, there is no stopping them, it's trying to contain him,” said the Lakers veteran. “I think the best thing with any superstar is trying to limit his touches. Not letting him catch the ball where he wants it. Try to deny him some, double-team him some, throw different looks at him.

“He's a tough player. I know what he's gonna do and I still can't stop him. That's what makes him great.”

Obviously currently with the Lakers, Green has spent the vast majority of his basketball career playing next to Leonard, seeing every move, pattern, and even flaws in day-to-day practices. Yet even with all of that knowledge, stopping him becomes a difficult undertaking.

Some of the best coaches say that teams contain superstars, not players. That saying couldn't be more true when it comes to Green.

The 32-year-old is a smart defender that knows how to make use of his length to startle opponents, but just like he knows Leonard's game, Leonard also knows his.

One could argue that Kawhi Leonard has the edge as a double-edged sword that is elite on offense and defense. Yet Green being able to impart that knowledge to dependable Lakers teammates like LeBron James and Anthony Davis should make his job a lot easier when trying to contain his former teammate.
