Jan. 26, 2021 marks the first anniversary of the untimely passing of Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna. Former teammate Derek Fisher was one of the many who commemorated the Black Mamba on this day, with Fisher coming out with an endearing message expressing how Kobe and Gianna continue to inspire him on a daily basis.

As it turns out, Fisher has the father-and-daughter duo as the wallpaper on his phone. Fisher took to Instagram to share how a single glance at their smiling faces brightens up his perspective at any point in the day:

Much like the rest of the basketball world, Fisher also feels like it was just yesterday that Kobe and Gianna were still with us. We all miss them more on this particular day.

Fisher, who spent 13 years with the Lakers franchise, played alongside Bryant for many, many years. These two legends had their careers intertwined, with both of them joining the league at the same time in 1996. Fisher played a key role in all five of Kobe's championships with the Lakers, and it goes without saying that these two formed a precious bond as friends through the years.

Fisher currently serves as the head coach and the general manager of the Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA. As he said in his post, he goes through a hectic schedule every single day, but he has Kobe and Gianna to help him get through all of them.
