Star forward Anthony Davis, as well as other players of the Los Angeles Lakers, played through flu-like symptoms on Tuesday in their win over the Denver Nuggets.

Now, head coach Frank Vogel is hoping that Davis and the rest of the squad won't miss tomorrow's game against the Utah Jazz.

In the 106-95 win over the Nuggets, Davis posted a double-double with 25 points and 10 rebounds in 37 minutes of play. He looked his usual self, but it was revealed that at halftime, the six-time All-Star received an IV as he wasn't feeling too well.

The win marks a successful bounce-back game for the Lakers after their loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday — fulfilling Davis' claims that the Purple and Gold don't and wouldn't want to lose two games in a row ever.

The Lakers are turning out to be the top favorites this year to claim the Larry O'Brien trophy given their strong start. They currently sport a league-best 18-3 record.

LA's game against the Jazz will pose a unique and difficult challenge. It's not just because the Quin Snyder-coached squad is desperate to snap their two-game skid, but also because the sickness that has plagued Davis and the Lakers could slow them down.
