The Los Angeles Lakers will be one of the teams to closely watch as the NBA trade deadline looms. It's no secret that the squad hasn't had the ideal campaign with a myriad of issues—injuries and rumors—hounding the roster.

The Lakers have been trying to shop around, looking for valuable pieces to add. But so far, their search hasn't yielded any. The team is reportedly looking to move a package involving Talen Horton-Tucker, Kendrick Nunn, and a draft pick, but clearly, no takers yet.

Now, with Lakers coach Frank Vogel's update on Nunn's injury status, making a trade might get more complicated (via ClutchPoints' Michael Corvo).

The 26-year-old Nunn was signed by the Lakers in the offseason, but he has yet to play a single second due to a knee injury. He was expected to provide firepower in the backcourt with his shooting and ability to penetrate, but his return has been slower than expected. Because of this, other teams might not want to take a flyer on Nunn.

The Lakers are being linked to various names, including Ben Simmons, Buddy Hield, Malik Beasley, and Gary Trent Jr. just to name a few. Horton-Tucker and Nunn are always mentioned in return, as they are the best movable assets the Lakers have.

There are still a few days left before the NBA trade deadline, Nunn could only hope that he won't be moved to another squad without even suiting up a single game for the Lakers.
