Since the start of the season, Los Angeles Lakers rookie Kyle Kuzma has turned a lot of heads with his impressive performances. After only being selected 27th overall in last June’s draft, he has established himself as a steal, paying off the team’s trust on him.

The 22-year-old has received a lot of high praises for how he has been playing for the Purple and Gold. Just recently, Kuzma also drew the same from his new teammate, Isaiah Thomas. The 5-foot-9 point guard answered a question given to him by a fan on Twitter and discussed if he thinks Kuzma will become a star in the NBA someday.

Thomas shared that if the rookie continues to work hard, there’s no doubt he’ll be one, as he does have the skill set to become an elite player.

Through 67 games, Kuzma is averaging solid numbers of 15.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 30.2 minutes of playing time per game. His versatility has also come in handy for the Lakers, as he can play at both forward positions, and can stretch the defense with his ability to shoot the ball from the perimeter.

Many did not think highly of Kuzma when he entered the NBA, but he has continued to play well for the Lakers and is now considered as one of their cornerstones for the coming years. With Thomas' good words for him, it also proves further that he is getting the respect of veterans, who believe that he can indeed become a future star in the league and that his ceiling is very high.
