As the Los Angeles Lakers try to make one last push for the playoffs, they could be getting a little boost in the next week or so. Rookie Josh Hart fractured a metacarpal bone in his left hand and underwent surgery at the beginning of March.

After the surgery, the Lakers projected that it would take four to six weeks for him to come back and Luke Walton said he wouldn't play unless he was 100 percent healthy.

Hart is back on the court again practicing and he recently told Spectrum SportsNet that his goal is to return on March 30th against the Milwaukee Bucks.

“Definitely a possibility. Last week was a little rough. The tissue was a little sore and that kind of thing, but now the flexibility of it is starting to get there and the swelling is going down. I’m definitely targeting that game to try and get out there. Hopefully sooner, but definitely targeting that game.”

If he was to return on March 30th, that would give him eight games left to impact the Lakers as they push for the playoffs.

The Lakers currently have a record of 31-39 which puts them 8.5 games back behind the Minnesota Timberwolves who sit in the eighth spot in the Western Conference.

Hart was taken with the 30th pick in last year's draft by the Utah Jazz before being traded over the Lakers. He has carved himself out a nice little role with the team this year, something not many expected to happen this quickly.

He has played 55 games so far this season and is averaging 6.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.
