As part of a recent appearance on Inside the Green Room, Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Danny Green explained why he believes JR Smith is the MVP of celebrations.

“Swish is always MVP to me,” Green said during the discussion. “He'll be on his (Instagram) lives, having everything going up. There are a couple of guys who get after it (like he does). He's always my MVP of celebrations.”

Hoops fans around the globe will remember Smith's shirtless antics after the Cleveland Cavaliers claimed their first championship in 2016.

After dispatching the Golden State Warriors in come-from-behind fashion (down three games to one) and ending a 52-year title drought in Northeast Ohio, Swish and his teammates made their way through the streets of downtown Cleveland for a victory parade that drew 1.3 million people.

It was a jovial time for Smith and the Cavs, and he continued to go shirtless at various appearances after winning it all in 2016. He went shirtless in Las Vegas, where the team celebrated, but it didn't stop there. He was shirtless when the team's plane landed in Cleveland, as well as the team's parade.

Barack Obama, who was serving as U.S. President at that time, called then-Cavs head coach Tyronn Lue to congratulate his team's efforts. It was during this call that the president jokingly asked Lue to “tell JR to put a shirt on:”

Smith was up to his old tricks again after his new team, the Los Angeles Lakers, won the 2020 NBA Finals. It was the Lakers' 17th championship, and Swish was ready to celebrate early.

In fact, the streaky shooter was spotted shirtless on the sidelines before the end of Los Angeles' series-clinching victory in Game 6 — a gesture that Danny Green couldn't help but smile at.

For now, we'll have to wait for the next shirtless JR sighting. He's now a two-time champion, but where will his next celebration take place?
