Quite a few players on the current Los Angeles Lakers roster set out to make some drastic changes over the summer. Fourth-year forward Julius Randle may have made the most drastic change with a complete body transformation.
Randle was on a mission this summer to improve his all-around game as well as get in the best shape of his life. The Kentucky product talked about what it was like playing in the team's first scrimmage with new body and level of conditioning following their morning practice on Thursday.
“I feel great,” Randle said. “Just light on my feet…playing with energy and pace. Being active. I feel like I can be active for long stretches of time without getting tired.”

“Cover more ground. I'm in better shape, so I see things before they happen. Fatigue makes a coward of us all.”
Randle and company will get a chance to show what this revamped Lakers squad can do on Saturday with the team playing their first preseason game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. It will be the first of six preseason games leading up to the season opener on Oct. 19 as the home team at the Staples Center against the division rival L.A. Clippers.
