The Celebration of Life for Kobe and Gigi Bryant was beautiful and emotional. The strength Vanessa showed during her speech was so powerful.
It's pretty much impossible to understand what Vanessa and Kobe's surviving daughters are going through at the moment. The Lakers organization, led by owner Jeanie Buss and general manager Rob Pelinka, will obviously make sure Vanessa is taken care of moving forward. We can also assume that Lakers greats Magic Johnson and Shaquille O'Neal will be there for Vanessa as well.
Bryant’s passing is going to take a long time to get over, that’s for sure. The Lakers currently have the best record in the Western Conference. It would be so special if the team wins the championship in honor of Kobe Bryant and Gigi.
Basketball fans in LA are hoping the Lakers and Clippers meet in the Western Conference Finals. A seven-game series between LeBron and Davis against Kawhi and George would be special to watch. It would capture the imagination of basketball fans everywhere and provide a powerfully emotional crescendo for the NBA season in which Kobe Bryant, an icon for the Lakers, left this world.
