Talk of LaMelo Ball eventually joining the Los Angeles Lakers has recently emerged as a very intriguing prospect several years down the line. Hall of Famer Tracy McGrady has now shared his thoughts on this notion and the former seven-time All-Star believes that LaMelo and the Lakers are a match made in heaven.

McGrady recently guested on Shannon Sharpe's Club Shay Shay program and he was asked who he believes is going to be the face of the NBA over the next decade. T-Mac was given a choice between Ball, Ja Morant, Luka Doncic, and Trae Young. McGrady said it would be a race between LaMelo and Morant, with Ball possibly gaining the edge if he made the move to Hollywood:

It's hard to argue against McGrady here. Ball is one of a few players in the NBA that possesses the swagger required to not only be the cornerstone superstar of the Lakers but also, the face of the league.

Right now, however, Ball is still under contract with the Charlotte Hornets. His current deal extends through the 2023-24 season. What happens beyond that year is anybody's guess, though.
