It goes without saying that LaVar Ball is no stranger to making headlines, especially during his recent spat with President Trump regarding LiAngelo Ball's arrest for shoplifting in China. Amidst all the fallout that caused a social media frenzy, UCLA had announced the suspensions of Ball and the other teammates involved.

As a result, the elder Ball has since decided to pull his son out of college. According to TMZ Sports,  Ball was upset with the how the school disciplined the players following the scandal:

We're told LaVar believes the suspension was unfair, especially since the charges were dropped. LaVar's people tell TMZ Sports the famous dad thinks, “There's no need to break down a kid's spirit for making a mistake.”

The former UCLA freshman never officially played a single game for the team. Although there are seemingly no hard feelings from the Ball family, they are no strangers to taking this course of action.

The announcement comes just two months after Ball decided to pull his other son, LaMelo, out of Chino Hills High School. His reasoning behind it was that he was going to turn him into ‘the greatest basketball player ever.' Although the circumstances between the two siblings' departures were vastly different, perhaps Ball could be planning to do the same with his older son.
