After Markelle Fultz has continuously joked that he'd be open to wearing Big Baller Brand gear, even before he was signed a contract with Nike, the Philadelphia 76ers rookie reiterated his desire for the outsider online retailer of counterpart Lonzo Ball during a casual interview on Twitch.

While the interest remains a casual one, its founder, LaVar Ball, claims the No. 1 overall selection will not be signed to the brand and will need to get in line like every other customer to buy his over the web.

“Yeah, it’s good for him. I’m not going to sign him to no contract, man,” Ball said in an interview with ESPN L.A. “He got to go to the brand and get it like everybody else online.”

While its marketing or following is nowhere near as close as the holy trinity of basketball gear (Nike, adidas, Under Armour), BBB has gathered its supporters, ranging from athletes like Chad Johnson to entertainers like rap mogul Jay-Z.

Mr. Ball seems intent on only having his sons represent the brand, but it could take a few years before all three have the right stature in the basketball world to have their own signature line. Having another player on the deck wouldn't be a bad idea to grow the appeal, but it seems LaVar has been hellbent in only having his family represent it.
