LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers commented on the impressive defensive play put up by Anthony Davis against the Utah Jazz. For James, Davis is able to do such impressive feats because he is the Defensive Player of the Year.
Peep the clip below. Davis bit on the shot fake and subsequently lunged out of bounds. However, he utilized his athleticism, long arms, and innate defensive talents to deflect the shot. It's very early in the season but this just might be the top defensive play of the year.

For those following Davis' career, these feats are not new. He currently leads the league in blocked shots with 2.7 per game. Overall, he has led the league in blocked shots per game three times. As such, he's been selected to the NBA-All Defensive Teams several times.
He has yet to win the Defensive Player of the Year but based on his performance thus far, he might snag it this year. It helps that the Lakers are performing really well this year. And their defense, which ranks first in the league with a 102.7 rating, is seen as the main cause of their brilliant performance. It also helps that James, probably the most popular basketball player in the world, is endorsing you.
