The Los Angeles Lakers haven't been setting the league on fire of late, but they at least seem to be headed in the right direction. LeBron James looking like a true MVP for the past few weeks has been a big reason why.

The Lakers have won five of their last eight contests and have a pretty tasty matchup against the Orlando Magic coming up that could finally get them back to two games over .500.

LeBron has been in peak form in that span, dropping 30 or more in five of the seven games he's played in. The Lakers star gave a pretty encouraging update after his 33-point night against the OKC Thunder that may point to this being a permanent sight.

Via Mike Trudell:

“I've been in a good rhythm. Just trying to stay in that rhythm,” said LeBron in his postgame interview. “I’m starting to get a lot healthier as the season goes on, especially with my low ab and my groin. That’s been feeling a lot better as of the last couple weeks.”

LeBron James' unexpected poster dunk on the Thunder's Tre Mann is a ringing endorsement for his improving physical state.

Health has once again been an issue for the Lakers roster from top to bottom, with LeBron James dealing with both an abdominal and groin injury earlier in the year.

With LeBron James rounding back into form, the purple and gold are starting to resemble a playoff team. If Anthony Davis can find his footing as well while Russell Westbrook continues to get comfortable, LA has nowhere to go but up.
