LeBron James has done pretty much everything in the NBA throughout what has been an iconic 19-year career. Nevertheless, The King is currently facing a truly daunting task in trying to lead this particular Los Angeles Lakers group to another championship. It's not going to be easy by any stretch of the imagination, but if there's anybody capable of turning this team around, it has to be LeBron.

Former Lakers champion Lamar Odom recently talked about LA's current situation. Unsurprisingly, the 42-year-old just had to throw in the late, great Kobe Bryant in the conversation as he posed a daunting challenge for LeBron:

“A lot of the teams that I played for that won championships, we had a tremendous leader in Bean Bryant,” Odom told TMZ Sports. “A lot of his will, tenacity, it kind of rubbed off on us. I would like to see LeBron James’ will and tenacity and his will to win rub off on these Laker guys. I think once that happens, once they coincide, they'll be alright”

As Odom stated above, Kobe Bryant was simply a different breed. Odom had the privilege of playing alongside the Lakers icon for many years and this resulted in no less than two championships for him. Bryant exhibited a type of leadership that had a significant impact on every single player on the roster and Odom believes that this is what LeBron needs to achieve in order for LA to succeed this season.

Odom also pointed out in the interview that what caught his attention earlier in the season was the mini-scuffle between Anthony Davis and Dwight Howard on the bench. The pair quickly hashed it out and pretty much the entire Lakers squad played down the incident as nothing more than a heat-of-the-battle type of confrontation between two brothers. Everyone appears to have moved on from the incident already, but Odom's observation of the team possibly not being aligned mentally still stands.

Despite LA's struggles this season, Odom remains confident that this team is still capable of winning a championship. As he said, the impetus will be on LeBron James. The Lakers talisman will need to use every ounce of Mamba Mentality he has in his body in order to lead his team to what could very well be the fifth and final championship of his unforgettable career.
