When Anthony Davis received his second technical foul leading to his ejection against the Chicago Bulls, his Los Angeles Lakers teammate LeBron James quickly came to his side.

Davis was ejected late in the third quarter while he was tying his shoes. He seemed to have said something to the official as the play went on while his fixing his footwear. Of course, the referee didn't like it and handed the Lakers big man his second tech of the night, effectively throwing him out of the game.

After the call, though, a frustrated Davis tried to confront and talk to the official. It was when LeBron came in to calm down his teammate. Despite being in street clothes, the King walked on the court for AD.

While the reason for the ejection is a bit questionable, Anthony Davis should have known better. After all, referees are recently whistling on the littlest of things, with Charlotte Hornets swingman Kelly Oubre Jr. also recently getting back-to-back techs for his conduct towards officials.

Unfortunately for LeBron James and the rest of the Lakers, AD's ejection only doomed them in what was already another ugly game for the team. The Bulls led right from the start and never relinquished their lead as they went away with a 121-103 victory.

It wouldn't have been much different even if AD was not thrown out, though it's surprising, to say the least, since it was his first ejection in the Lakers' purple and gold uniform.
