LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers will want to keep the momentum going after a massive win on Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Their next game comes in the form of a Sunday night matchup against the Houston Rockets, and with just five contests remaining in the regular season, it goes without saying that every single game from here on out will count.

Unsurprisingly, LeBron has popped up on the injury report yet again for Sunday's matchup. However, at this point, this should no longer be a cause for concern for LA. Right?

LeBron James injury status vs. Rockets

Officially, LeBron is questionable to play on Sunday. However, if you know how the Lakers have been operating all season long, then the truth here is that James should be available against the Rockets.

LeBron is still listed on the injury report with a soreness in his foot, which is related to the injury that kept him sidelined for nearly a month. However, the Lakers superstar himself stated after Friday's win that his foot is improving significantly, and that “Sunday can't come soon enough” for him. At this point, it appears that only a major setback is going to prevent LeBron from taking the court against Houston.

At the moment, the 39-38 Lakers are seventh in the West. Only two games separate them from the 11th-placed Dallas Mavericks, though, which only means that a Play-In spot is not yet guaranteed for LA. Also worth noting is the fact that the sixth-seeded Golden State Warriors are just 1.5 games ahead of the Lakers right now, so it's actually still possible for LeBron and Co. to avoid the Play-In tournament altogether.
