Anthony Davis looked like a man possessed on Friday night as he carried the Los Angeles Lakers to a huge win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. AD exploded for a game-high 38 points to lead LA to a 123-111 victory in this Western Conference showdown. Unsurprisingly, LeBron James was in his ear all game long.

After the victory, LeBron had nothing but high praise for his Lakers teammate. When asked what he told Davis amid one of his scorching runs during the game, James kept it simple:

Just keep going,” LeBron said. “Just keep going. He's too dominant. Just keep going. And he showed that all game tonight.”

Dominant he was. The Wolves had no answer for Anthony Davis in this one, with the Lakers big man going 15-of-26 from the field en route to his 38 points. AD was a beast on the board too, grabbing 17 rebounds, to go along with a steal and two blocks in 37 minutes of action.

For his part, LeBron James knows how big Davis was in this one. The Lakers had to win this game in order to improve their chances of securing a Play-In spot in the conference and Davis answered the call:

“I think he understood the assignment,” James continued. “He knew how important this game was. … We jumped on AD's back and he brought us home.”

The Lakers will need more of the same from Davis on Sunday when they battle the Houston Rockets. In fact, this is the aggressive Anthony Davis that LA will need the rest of the way. LeBron James can only do so much, and it's on AD to bring this team to the promised land.
