Cue the reunion posters, because we might have one in the making. Shortly after Kyrie Irving was rumored to be “more open” toward considering the Los Angeles Lakers as a potential free agency destination, it didn't take long for LeBron James to get in that bandwagon.

James liked a recent Instagram post of Irving donning purple and gold — and this is by no means an accident.

Irving and James have spent two seasons apart since their 2017 NBA Finals loss to the Golden State Warriors. Yet they have made amends this past season, as Irving opened up and apologized for his abrupt exit from the Cleveland Cavaliers and how their icy relationship carried on since.

As fate would have it, Irving will survey the open market, and LeBron is among the main scouts eyeing out potential talent to partner up with after going nearly solo this past season and missing the playoffs on the process.

James has reportedly already reached out to Kawhi Leonard and Jimmy Butler and gauged their interest in playing alongside him in L.A. — and if this Instagram reaction is any indication, it won't take long before Irving's phone to start ringing again.

It's still rather difficult to see Irving and James partnering up again, especially when the Lakers lack the veterans necessary to orchestrate a potent team, but it's likely James will welcome any talent to join his team after feeling the emptiness of playing without another high-caliber player alongside him for the first time in many years.
