Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James watched Team USA shockingly bow out in the semifinals of the 2023 FIBA World Cup on Friday with a loss to Germany. Shortly after the game ended, The King reacted to the possibility of him suiting up for the States at the 2024 Paris Olympics next summer with an eye emoji on Instagram.

By no surprise, that had the entire NBA world on social media buzzing. Bron hasn't played in the Olympics since 2012. Here are some of the best reactions:

This fan however doesn't want to see James put on the Team USA because he “won't play defense”:

This fan thinks Steph, KD, and James all team up in France:

Only time will tell if LeBron James actually does make the decision to help the Americans chase a gold medal next summer. But boy, if it does happen, that would be a treat. Back in 12′, the Lakers veteran averaged 13.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.5 assists en route to a gold. The US won gold in 2008, too.

The reality is the American squad was far from as good as it could've been in the World Cup because most of the big superstars had little interest in playing. To be honest, Anthony Edwards may be the only guy who actually makes the Olympics roster if the best of the best did give the green light to play.

At 38 years old, who knows if Bron will even be physically up to playing more basketball in just under a year's time after a long season. But, based on his reaction, it does appear to be in the cards.
