LeBron James is in unfamiliar territory as a spectator of the NBA Finals. The Los Angeles Lakers forward has played in all but one Finals series in the previous decade of NBA seasons. But now King James is just like the rest of us – watching Chris Paul and the Phoenix Suns try to win a championship.
The Lakers star is evidently counting down the Ws for CP3, as he's followed a familiar theme in his reactions to Games 1 and 2.
LeBron James after Game 1:
LeBron is definitely being straight to the point with his messages to his longtime banana boat buddy. There's been some buzz about how James been conspicuously silent on Chris Paul's success, ever since the Suns trounced his Lakers in the first round. That series was admittedly not the most wholesome from both sides.
The Suns are now just two wins away from making history and cementing Chris Paul's status as one of the greatest to ever play this game. With teams like the Lakers and the Brooklyn Nets favored to win the championship, few expected Phoenix to be a real threat to the title. But Chris Paul will be the first to tell you that they were capable of this all along.
