Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James won a title…well, sort of.

LeBron, who bought a stake from English Premier League club Liverpool back in 2011, celebrated like crazy after the Reds beat the Tottenham Hotspur in the UEFA Champions League (UCL) final in Madrid. For those not familiar with the European Football system, the UCL is a top-tier competition that pits the best teams in Europe's top-flight domestic leagues.

In NBA terms, it's more like the Finals.

Liverpool handled the Spurs well, with a second-minute penalty from Egyptian superstar Mo Salah and a late Divock Origi goal settling matters for Jurgen Klopp's men.

Obviously, LeBron was ecstatic with the result and took it to Twitter to congratulate the team and those affiliated with the club.

With LeBron missing the NBA Playoffs, he has plenty of time to do other things. And sure enough, much of his focus has been on Liverpool in the offseason. In fact, in their come-from-behind victory against European powerhouse Barcelona in the UCL semifinals, the Lakers star also voiced his support for the team.

It's certainly another title that LeBron can be proud of. He'll also be happy to know that he is set to get huge returns from his 2011 investment, as Liverpool's while Champions League run increased the value of his stake on the team.

It's still a nice summer for LeBron, after all. Congratulation to Liverpool, and a bigger congrats for James!
