While the general consensus is that Michael Jordan is the greatest NBA player who has ever lived, Los Angeles Laker star LeBron James is always somewhere in all-time great discussions, and it would be difficult to find someone who doesn't at least have him in their top 10 of all-time.

As for how he feels to always be included in such conversations?

“There's always comparisons. It's my job to go out and be the greatest I can be every single night,” said James, per DeAntae Prince of The Crossover. “I lace my shoes up, I go against the competition and I want to be the best every single night. And there's always gonna be comparisons of who they say is great and who's not great and this guy's better than this guy…You know, there's gonna be comparisons no matter what, but at the end of the day, how much can you get into your career and how much can you put into your career? And that's not just in basketball. That's in every job. Everyone is always gonna try to compare you to this person, but if you're confident in your ability, then you're always gonna say you're the best. I mean, why not?”

Of course, James seems to be referencing a statement he made earlier in the season when he claimed that his 2016 NBA Finals victory over the Golden State Warriors made him the greatest of all-time.

The 34-year-old is also right in that there are always going to be comparisons and that everyone is going to have a different opinion, so what really matters is what you think about yourself.

At this point, he's clearly focused on trying to bring another championship to the Lakers.
