Los Angeles Lakers superstar small forward LeBron James has always been behind Colin Kaepernick, and that trend continued on Saturday as The King made his way into the arena for Game 5 against the Houston Rockets.

James was sporting a slick Kaepernick jersey.

During the 2016 NFL season with the San Francisco 49ers, Colin Kaepernick decided to kneel during the national anthem to peacefully protest police brutality and systemic racism against African Americans. As most sports fans are aware, the former star quarterback hasn't played in the NFL since the conclusion of the 2016 season.

LeBron James and other stars in the NBA, such as Stephen Curry, Chris Paul, Damian Lillard, and Kevin Durant, have fully supported Kaepernick since day one. They all feel that Colin has been blackballed by the NFL for simply peacefully protesting.

The Lakers are one win away from advancing to the 2020 Western Conference Finals. James is no doubt focused on the task at hand, but the four-time MVP and three-time champion will always use his platform to instill change in America and shout-out Kaepernick, who sacrificed his playing career for the betterment of African Americans.

Thus far in the 2020 playoffs, James has been a monster for the Lakers. He's averaging 26.3 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 9.0 assists per game while shooting a staggering 55.9 percent from the field.

Assuming Los Angeles takes care of business against the Rockets in Game 5, the Lakers would be in the conference finals for the first time since 2010.
