The Los Angeles Lakers, who are presently the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a 26-28 record, have not played the style of basketball they expected to play this season.

There are a variety of reasons why this Laker squad is struggling, but one factor that can certainly be blamed for their lack of success this season is their struggle to remain healthy. This season, they have been without Anthony Davis and LeBron James for numerous games, which doesn't help a struggling squad.

There have been many doubts about whether the Lakers can go on a deep run, and LeBron James believes his squad still has what it takes to win an NBA championship.

According to Michael Corvo, Lakers reporter for ClutchPoints, LeBron James had this to say,

“I think it stems from some of the games that we've played, some of the quarters that we've had. The film work that we put in. That we know we can catch a rhythm and play some really good ball. But we also know that we can play some not-so-good ball as well. We're hoping we can find a more consistent approach to how we approach the game, both from an offensive standpoint and a defensive standpoint to put us in a position where we feel like we can make a run at this thing.”

The rest of the season will be exciting to watch, but anytime LeBron James is the best player on the team, the team typically succeeds. This is a difficult stretch for the Lakers, but given their skill, they can turn it around at any moment.
