Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James was repping his son at shootaround on Monday afternoon, wearing Bronny James gear:

Bronny, who attends high school in Santa Monica, is considered to be a very talented 14-year-old prospect. While following in his father's footsteps is obviously nearly impossible, Bronny does have NBA aspirations.

As for LeBron? He is in the middle of a very frustrating season.

For the first time since his second season in the NBA, James is in serious danger of missing the playoffs, as the Lakers currently own a record of 29-30 and sit in 10th place in the Western Conference.

Los Angeles is coming off of a miserable loss to the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday night, just two days after the Lakers rallied for a big win over the Houston Rockets.

James just returned from a groin injury, an issue that kept him out for over a month, on Jan. 31. During James' absence, Los Angeles went just 6-11 to fall to 26-25. However, since LeBron has come back, the Lakers have still struggled, going just 3-5.

The 34-year-old James has only missed the playoffs twice in his career, with both of those absences coming in his first two seasons in the league with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Since then, LeBron has won three championships and has made nine finals appearances, including eight straight trips to the finals between 2011 and 2018. However, barring a miracle, it appears that James finals streak will come to an end this season.

The Lakers will take on the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night.
