Yahoo! Sports came out with a bombshell report on Friday morning uncovering some big-name players who supposedly accepted payments from agents or schools around the time of their college basketball days. According to the report, it has a ton of big-name players and big-time programs that are involved in the middle of the controversy.

There’s potential impermissible benefits and preferential treatment for players and families of players at Duke, North Carolina, Texas, Kentucky, Michigan State, USC, Alabama and a host of other schools. The documents link some of the sport’s biggest current stars – Michigan State’s Miles Bridges, Alabama’s Collin Sexton and Duke’s Wendell Carter – to specific potential extra benefits for either the athletes or their family members. The amounts tied to players in the case range from basic meals to tens of thousands of dollars.

Of course, it has been a big topic of conversation around the sports world, and Lonzo Ball was asked about it after the morning shootaround and he had a very interesting response.

If you read into this tweet a little bit, it seems like he is admitting to the worst held secret in college basketball, if a player is good enough and a school wants them bad enough, they will pay to get him there.

The big question to come from this tweet though is if Ball is admitting to accepting benefits from his time at UCLA, or if he is just saying it's a common problem around the world of college basketball.

On the court this a big night for Ball. He is returning to the court after missing the last 15 games with an MCL injury. The big storyline to watch is how he and Isaiah Thomas are able to play together or if there are some issues as they are both point guards who need the ball in their hands to have success.
