Los Angeles Lakers head coach Luke Walton is now coaching LeBron James — the best player in the planet. With it comes pressure as well as privileges. It was recently confirmed James will star in the much awaited Space Jam 2. Is Walton planning to use his position of power for a cameo in the upcoming film?
TMZ Sports caught up with Walton and asked if he'll send James to the bench if the former doesn't take part in Space Jam 2. Check out the video below for Walton's reply:
Walton did say that if the production team offers him a role, he'll definitely accept it being that he's a huge fan of the first film. Right now, we can only hunch who'll join James in the Toon Squad. We can confirm that a point guard by the name of “B. Bunny” will be James' teammate.
The first Space Jam featured basketball legends like Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Larry Johnson, among others. So for its sequel, fans can expect the most popular players of today to get a role or maybe even just a cameo. Maybe Michael Jordan might even take on some sort of mentorship role. After all, he's the only guy who knows how to defeat the Monstars — arguably the best basketball team ever arranged.
