The Los Angeles Lakers have hit yet another rock bottom – and Hall-of-Famer Magic Johnson isn't satisfied one bit.
The Lakers icon took to Twitter after LeBron James and Co. were walloped by the Denver Nuggets on the road, 133-96.
“After being blown out by the Nuggets 133-96, we as Lakers fans can accept being outplayed but we deserve more than a lack of effort and no sense of urgency. Owner Jeanie Buss, you deserve better,” Johnson said.
There was nothing to smile about if you were a Lakers fan watching your team on Saturday night. LeBron James played a relatively subpar game by his standards with 25 points on 9-for-23 shooting with nine rebounds and just two assists.
LA got next to nothing from the supporting cast, finishing with just two other players in double-figures compared to the seven from the Nuggets side.
The 37-point deficit was the worst margin of defeat they've had this season and sinks them back to a sub .500 record at 21-22. They've now lost three in a row, almost completely wiping out the four-game winning streak they ripped off just a week prior.
The Los Angeles Lakers are in dire straits. Magic Johnson knows it, the fans know it, and even LeBron James knows it even if his panic level doesn't manifest itself during the postgame pressers.
The Lakers need to make a change fast, or else changes will come within the roster whether they like it or not.
