Los Angeles Lakers rookie Moe Wagner will finally be active for Wednesday night's game against the Dallas Mavericks.

Wagner had been nursing a left knee bruise that kept him out all of preseason and all seven games so far in the regular season.

Moe Wagner has nice potential and brings impressive shooting and rebounding capability to the struggling Lakers. The Lakers are off to a 2-5 start to the season and could use a player with Wagner's size and shooting ability.

In his final season at the University of Michigan, Wagner averaged 14.6 points and 7.1 rebounds while shooting 52.8 percent overall and 39.4 percent on 3-pointers. The 6-foot-10 big man was drafted 25th overall in the 2018 NBA Draft.

Wagner's play style could be helpful for players like LeBron James and Lonzo Ball. These two possess great court vision and dish the ball effectively to shooters like Wagner, and the Lakers could use more shooting on the floor around those players.

While it may take time for Moe Wagner to adjust to playing at an NBA level, especially since he's coming off an injury, he can definitely help the Lakers when he gets comfortable out on the court.
