Despite Kobe Bryant being having last played basketball in a Lakers uniform over two years ago, at least one fan thinks it is possible that Kobe still has some game left in him.

Aspiring 19-year old rapper Trippie Redd had an eyebrow-raising prediction when questioned on the future of the Laker organization. Per TMZ, the teenager claims that without a doubt, the Mamba will be exiting retirement in order to join forces with LeBron, creating a team to rival the stacked Golden State Warriors.

There are a few hitches in Trippie's hypothetical future vision.

For one, while Kobe was certainly one of the greatest shooting guards of all time, he is certainly far past his prime. His last few seasons were spent dealing with nagging injuries and simply not looking like the dominant, unstoppable force he once was.

It's doubtful that after two years his body will magically be able to hold up to the rigors of a full NBA season, especially after not playing ball for so long.

Secondly, he has almost no reason to join the Lakers at this point in his life.

By all accounts, Kobe seems like he is greatly enjoying his time away from basketball. He has his own show, which has been positively reviewed by the NBA community, and he finally has the opportunity to spend time with his wife and children.

A LeBron-Kobe alliance would certainly spice up the NBA regular season but for now, we're going to have to treat Trippie Redd's vision as a pipe dream.
