Los Angeles Lakers star Russell Westbrook didn't need to bring out his Chucky costume on Sunday night to spook out the commentators. The 2017 MVP was hosting his former team the Houston Rockets on Halloween and Brodie's second-quarter shot attempt was definitely fitting of the scary holiday.
Westbrook, who's been known to struggle from the field, tried to knock down a mid-range jumper against Eric Gordon but the Lakers guard hit all board. Naturally, the Rockets commentators on the call roasted the nine-time All-Star after the botched bank shot attempt. Listen here (via GrabClips):

To be completely fair, Westbrook was pretty well-defended by his former teammate. Gordon was all up on Westbrook's grill and managed to challenge the former MVP's high-arching shot despite the screen from Lakers center DeAndre Jordan.

But, a poor shot attempt is a poor shot attempt. Westbrook once again channeled his inner-‘Westbrick' as he continues to prove to the entire NBA that shooting isn't his best skill.
The fiery guard seems to still be having a hard time adjusting in Hollywood. After being traded from the Washington Wizards this summer, Westbrook's start to his homecoming campaign in LA has been inconsistent – to say the least. In six games so far, the numbers have been there for the two-time All-Star Game MVP but his 18-8-8 statline has only resulted in a 3-3 record to start the '21-22 NBA season.
