Whoever ends up becoming Frank Vogel's successor as the new head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers will clearly have his work cut out for him. Not only will there be a ton of pressure to perform for one of the most storied franchises in the NBA but also, this new coach will be inheriting what many perceive to be a broken roster.

Lakers icon Shaquille O'Neal has taken his pick for LA's new coach. In his mind, the best man for the job is Stephen Curry's former coach with the Golden State Warriors, Mark Jackson:

“Mark Jackson helped build Golden State before Steve Kerr took it to the next level,” Shaq said, via Rory Carroll of Reuters. “He made it a very sexy brand to watch, so I'm sure he can do that with LeBron and Russ.”

As Shaq said, Jackson was responsible for building the foundation of what turned out to be a Steve Kerr-led Warriors dynasty. Jackson doesn't get as much credit for this as he should, but O'Neal clearly has a lot of respect for this man.

Coaching LeBron James is no easy task and whoever takes over the helm must have the cache to step into such a challenging role. Mark Jackson fits that bill and yeah, I can definitely see him taking over in Hollywood next season.
