It's no secret that that former Los Angeles Lakers center Shaquille O'Neal isn't exactly best friends with current Lakers center Dwight Howard.

But even as Shaq has gotten comfortable in retirement and Dwight's star has dwindled in recent seasons, it's clear that the Hall of Famer still has some lingering animosity towards his younger counterpart.

On Shaq's recent appearance on Inside the NBA, he called out the Lakers Hall of Famers who should have been able rally the troops for the final five games of the season. O'Neal initially claimed there were just three of them.

“You've got three Hall of Famers on there. If they can't rile the rest of the guys up for five games, they're not going to be in the play-in game.”

When told that the Lakers actually have five Hall of Famers, Shaq was adamant that the number was three, and merely conceded one more, Carmelo Anthony, when his co-hosts started listing the names. But he wasn't budging for Dwight Howard.

LeBron. “Three.” Anthony Davis. “Three.” Russell Westbrook. “Three.” Carmelo Anthony. “Four.” And Dwight Howard. “Four. That's four. Four. Email it, Tweet it that's four. I ain't going to say it again,” said Shaq on the Lakers Hall of Famers.

Even with future Hall of Famer and former teammate Dwywane Wade calling him out over the snub, Shaq still wouldn't acknowledge Dwight Howard as a worthy candidate for the Hall.

Shaq and Dwight Howard's beef has been a mystifying ordeal ever since it started up in the mid 2000s. From Dwight allegedly not taking the game seriously enough to nickname theft for the “Superman” moniker, there's a laundry list of reasons Shaq continues to pile on the active Lakers center.

The fact of the matter is Dwight Howard is indisputably a Hall of Famer. But don't be surprised to see Shaq heckling him during his acceptance speech.
