For a second overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft, things didn't look too hot for rookie Lonzo Ball. Although he kicked off his NBA scoring campaign with an awkward 3-point shot that excited fans, his contributions to the scoreboard would end there. He ended up only scoring 3 points while recording four assists and nine rebounds.  Pretty lackluster numbers for his debut.

As expected, Lonzo is receiving criticism among many, almost as though he deserves the flack. Unfortunately, his father LaVar Ball is the main reason he is under so much scrutiny, as his loudmouth nature has but Lonzo under the spotlight.

Snoop Dogg, the chillest rapper we all know and love, gave Kyle Neubek his take on Lonzo Ball's situation. It's a pretty telling metaphor.

LaVar Ball has indeed written a ticket for Lonzo to fulfill, and so far Lonzo has missed the mark. The almost 20-year old (his birthday is one week from today) struggled to be a efficient contributor, but at least he kept his composure.

Ball will face the Phoenix Suns tonight at the Talking Stick Resort Arena. Hopefully he will be able to bounce back and find some redemption.
