Los Angeles Lakers swingman Talen Horton-Tucker played in the Drew League on Sunday, and, well, it's safe to say it didn't turn out as well as he expected.

In fact, it was a game to forget for the youngster.

While his team Hometown Favorites won the contest, 81-67, THT didn't have the best performance one would expect from an NBA player. After LeBron James dropped 42 points on Saturday in the same competition, expectations were high for Horton-Tucker. He's in his early 2os after all and has already shown he can score in bunches in the top professional basketball league in the world.

Against lesser competition, though, Horton-Tucker finished with just 14 points, six rebounds and two steals. Even worse, he shot 38 percent from the field.

Naturally, NBA fans quickly took to Twitter to savagely roast Horton-Tucker for his performance:

Perhaps Talen Horton-Tucker is just not used to the competition in the Drew League? He's just 21 and certainly has a lot more to learn.

Nonetheless, his Drew League performance surely won't raise confidence โ€” be it in the fan base toward him or his after a rather messy season with the Purple and Gold in 2021-22. Besides, with a player like Malachi Flynn showing up in another pro-am and casually dropping 73 points, it's hard to make an excuse for a performance that doesn't live up to the standards for pros:

Hopefully, THT can make it up with a better performance if he decides to come back. He definitely needs every kind of workout and practice that he can get if he wants to take his game to the next level.
