The Los Angeles Lakers have been shipping Kyle Kuzma around with hopes of getting that final piece (or pieces) that could give them their 18th title which would make them the winningest franchise in NBA history. Apart from this, we all know that James is on the hunt for his fifth title. He's already considered one of the greats but adding another title or two would further propel him in the never-ending GOAT debates.

With that in mind, let's look at the perfect Kyle Kuzma trade that would propel James to his fifth title. This might prove difficult for the Lakers in terms of finance but fans know that the organization is willing to stop at nothing to get the players they need.

Kyle Kuzma Trade By Lakers

Jazz receive: Kyle Kuzma, Dennis Schroder, 2023 Second Round Pick

Lakers receive: Mike Conley

No team would say yes to a transaction that involves just Kyle Kuzma alone. The Lakers themselves know this and reports reveal that he's being packaged with other players. Amid all the hate hurled at Kuzma, the man is still a respectable player in his position. People tend to forget that he outperformed Lonzo Ball in their rookie season. The pressure of playing with LeBron James might have affected his confidence a bit. This may be the reason for his inconsistent performance. A fresh start might be best for Kuzma.

Whatever the case may be, moving away from Kuzma is the right decision. There are other rumors that they might package him for Buddy Hield. At the same time, there are also whispers that the Lakers are in search of a point guard after talks with Dennis Schroder have gone nowhere. The German is reportedly asking for a hefty contract which the Lakers aren't keen on offering.

This is where Mike Conley enters, the veteran guard who just finished off his massive five-year, $152 million contract. He's now an unrestricted free agent and all signs reveal that the Utah Jazz would love to have him back. However, we can never predict what happens behind the curtains. After all, the road to the title requires never-ending tweaks to your roster. The Jazz are entertaining every possibility.

To recall, during Conley's stint with the Grizzlies, people saw him as a traditional guard whose primary role is to orchestrate the offense. But upon donning the Jazz jersey, Conley was comfortable in his new role as more of a combo-guard. The Jazz's offense revolves around several players such as Donovan Mitchell and even Joe Ingles. It was good to see Conley easily adjust to a vastly different role.

This makes him the perfect fit for the Lakers as the offense runs solely around LeBron James. Conley would have no problem being a spot-up shooter or even a cutter. When James sits down, the Lakers offense tends to go stale. And this is where Conley can shine as he's a proven orchestrator who averages 5.7 assists for his career.

Since both Conley and Schroder are unrestricted free agents, a sign-and-trade is the only way to go. The German guard is looking to snag a hefty deal himself.  To recall, he declined a four-year, $84 million offer from the Lakers. This means that he's eyeing more than $21 million a year and he's probably looking at some $25 million per season. This is a steep price that not a lot of teams are willing to give him, especially after his subpar 2020-21 season.

This might force Schroder and his agent to take accept the deal from the Lakers and then be traded to the Jazz in a sign-and-trade scenario. Conley, for his part, could be worth a little less than Schroder as the 33-year-old is at the tail-end of his career. However, the value he'll bring to the Lakers might be equal to a Larry O'Brien trophy.
