If the Los Angeles Lakers decide to split up their newly created cap space, the franchise will reportedly target Danny Green, Terrence Ross and Seth Curry in free agency, among other players with shooting ability, according to Adrian Wojnarowski, Zach Lowe and Bobby Marks of ESPN.

The Lakers created a maximum salary slot of $32-plus million on Thursday by trading Mo Wagner, Isaac Bonga and Jemerrio Jones to the Washington Wizards. If Los Angeles can't get Kawhi Leonard, Jimmy Butler or Kemba Walker, they will reportedly pursue shooters to pair with LeBron James and Anthony Davis, who helped the cap space cause by waiving his $4 million trade kicker.

Green, Ross and Curry all become unrestricted free agents this summer. The three players are sound shooters from beyond the arc.

With the NBA champion Toronto Raptors, Green shot 45.5 percent from the 3-point line. For the Orlando Magic, Ross shot 38.3 percent, while Curry shot 45.0 percent for the Portland Trail Blazers.

As we've seen before, teams with LeBron on it operate better on offense when there are multiple shooters around the four-time MVP. The Lakers did a poor job of putting shooters around James this past season. It appears they have learned from their mistake.
