On Wednesday's episode of First Take, Stephen A Smith dropped a major truth bomb on the Los Angeles Lakers about how they must consider trading away LeBron James. One of the reasons behind Smith's contentious claim is how at the moment, Anthony Davis does not hold much value in terms of a potential trade.

According to Smith, the Lakers don't have too many trade assets outside of LeBron. This is because based on the conversations Stephen A has had with various league executives, Anthony Davis is not a wanted man right now:

“I know for a fact by numerous executives I’ve spoken to, you can’t get but so much value for Anthony Davis because he’s perpetually injured and he’s not reliable healthwise,” Smith said. “We know how big time he is as a player, JJ, but he gets injured all the time.”

As Smith implied, AD remains to be one of the top big men in the league today. However, the fact that he's sitting out half the time makes him more of a liability than an asset. How can you help your team when you're not even playing? This is exactly what Stephen A is pointing out here and apparently, this is how executives from around the league also feel about the Lakers big man.
