Los Angeles Lakers owner Jeanie Buss reportedly received suggestions to trade superstar LeBron James.

The Lakers are in a disarray right now after failing to secure a deal with their top two coaching candidates. Monty Williams interviewed twice for the coaching vacancy but eventually signed with the Phoenix Suns.

Former Cleveland Cavaliers Tyronn Lue ended talks with the Lakers, forcing the franchise to restart their coaching search.

According to Stephen Smith of ESPN, most fans and analysts are puzzled with the current situation in Los Angeles, and it will not be surprising if they make big headlines again later in the offseason.

Smith revealed that trading James is not impossible, saying that people around her are convincing Buss to part ways with the four-time MVP.

“Nothing is out of bounds right now,” Smith said. “We don't know what the hell is going on in Los Angeles. You've got folks close to Jeanie Buss imploring her to trade LeBron James. He does not have a no-trade clause, and now you haven't given him the coach he wanted.”

The Lakers have been on a downward trajectory over the past several months. Earlier in the season, they looked poised to end their playoff drought but they failed to sustain their momentum.

In turn, James, who signed a four-year deal with the Lakers last summer, missed the playoffs for the first since 2005.
