There has been some talk that LeBron James and Anthony Davis plan to attend the Los Angeles Lakers' free-agent meetings with the hope of luring another star to join them, but if they want to land Kawhi Leonard, they should sit out of that potential conversation.

According to Stephen A. Smith of ESPN, Leonard has specifically requested that only Lakers owner Jeanie Buss and icon Magic Johnson be involved in his meeting with the club.

Given how reclusive Leonard is, this does not come as much of a surprise at all, as he is not one for histrionics.

The Lakers have emerged as a potential suitor in the Leonard sweepstakes, a competition that will likely include the Toronto Raptors, Los Angeles Clippers, Dallas Mavericks and possibly the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets.

The general consensus has been that Leonard will either return to the Raptors — the team with whom he just won a championship — or head out to Los Angeles to play for the other LA team, the Clippers.

However, with both James and Davis now donning the Purple and Gold, the idea of playing with two other superstars and adding multiple titles to his resume may be enticing to Leonard.

Leonard was originally drafted by the Indiana Pacers back in 2011 but was immediately traded to the San Antonio Spurs for George Hill. Leonard then went on to spend the first seven years of his career with the Spurs, winning a championship in 2014. However, due to a disconnect with the organization regarding his quad injury last season, Kawhi demanded a trade and was dealt to the Raptors last summer.
