With the Brooklyn Nets in shambles right now, the NBA rumor mill has been on fire. It's unclear what is going to happen for now, but one thing is clear, the franchise will move on from Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. Rumors of the Los Angeles Lakers continue to spread regarding their interest to acquire Irving. And it sounds like LeBron James is wanting it to come to fruition.

According to Marc Stein, James “wants to see Irving in Lakerland more than anyone.” It was reported on Saturday that LA and Brooklyn have been in trade talks. Nothing has come to fruition, but “a widespread expectation [is] that Irving is destined to end up with the Lakers.” If that's the case, then LeBron James may just get his wish.

We'll see how it all plays out. Rumors are that the Lakers and Nets are discussing a potential Russell Westbrook-Kyrie Irving swap. There are some hurdles, however, as Brooklyn would be taking on an additional $10 million in cap, per Marc Stein. Regardless, this sounds like a deal LA wants, especially considering LeBron James is rumored to be all-in on this trade as well.

The last time James and Irving were together they won a ring for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Even though LeBron is older now, he's still one of the best small forwards in the league. Combine that with Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis, and suddenly the Lakers have another monster trio leading the way. Keep an eye on this front office, as a trade with the Nets could be in action soon.
