The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly interested in Brook Lopez and DeAndre Jordan, two centers who hit the open market this summer.

Lopez played for the Lakers during the 2017-18 season. The big man spent this past season with the Milwaukee Bucks, where he averaged 12.5 points and 4.9 rebounds.

Jordan, meanwhile, spent the first 10 years of his career with the Los Angeles Clippers. Brian Windhorst of ESPN says Jordan wants to be back in the city of Los Angeles.

“The Lakers, I think, are sniffing around (Lopez),” said Windhorst. “I think the Lakers need perimeter players. I think they're going to have to use their money on perimeter players. I know DeAndre Jordan is a guy on the Lakers' radar that they're hoping they may able to get for relatively cheap because he wants to be back in L.A.”

Lopez would stretch the floor very well for the Lakers. He shot 45.2 percent from the field and 36.5 percent from beyond the arc with the Bucks. Lopez made 512 3-pointers

Jordan split time with the Dallas Mavericks and New York Knicks in 2018-19. The high-flyer put up 11.0 points and 13.1 rebounds while shooting 64.1 percent from the floor. Jordan would feast in the paint playing alongside LeBron James.

The Lakers need to add more depth to the roster after acquiring Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans. Los Angeles would be better suited to split up their cap space on multiple players instead of just using it all on one player.
